Drinks, dogs, lesbians and a laid-back vibe. That's what we found at 10pm in a Monday night at Confession, Park Slope's Mission Dolores' Monday night party. A dozen lesbians sipping beer at wooden tables, a friendly dog wagging its tail at passers-by and DJ TRx spinning tunes that slipped from 50 Cent to the Jackson 5 to Christina Aguilera.

All this talk about Madonna's new album cover has us nostalgic for the past this week—and the only thing better than a flawless new album cover is seeing some of your favorite '90s bands reunite and release a brand new album altogether.

Okay, they may have never "broken up"—the band has been releasing albums steadily through the new millennium—but one of Imperial Teen's greatest hits, Yoo Hoo, came from their sophomore album in 1998. Back and better than ever, beloved queer alt rockers Imperial Teen are releasing a brand new album, Feel The Sound, featuring eleven brand new tracks including the blog-buster "Runaway".

We made a musical discovery this weekend: Queer Country Monthly, a veritable jamboree of singers/songwriters at Branded Saloon in Prospect Heights. This showcase of Southern-fried performers and their plaid-shirted fans grew out of the success of last year's Gay Ole Opry at Public Assembly. "We got more than 300 people for that event so we decided we had to just keep it going," said Karen Pittelman, who curates the night in the appropriately-themed back room at Branded. (Antler chandeliers? Check!).
 
"Living together, we have a sibling-like relationship where we fight and we get cranky," said Taylor. "But when we get on stage, it all goes away.">>>

We popped by the newly full-time-homo Veronica People’s Club on Friday night to check out their hit weekly party Kielbasa. It certainly turned out to be a sausage fest as the flirty group of gays engaged in heavy drinking during the night's two open bars and dancing in their undies on the bar.
