(The Original SoupMan)

The Original SoupMan is back in town! Yes, the grouchy “Soup Nazi” (a.k.a. Al Yeganeh) from Seinfeld reopened his soup haven at the original location on 55th Street and Eighth Avenue. It’s a little shop to be sure, but despite its diminutive stature, it has become known around the world, attracting local working stiffs at lunchtime as well as tourists who flock there to slurp themselves silly. SoupMan Chef Dan Rubano is now on hand to dole out the goods.

Look for favorites such as The World’s Best Mulligatawny, Chicken Chowder, Award-winning Chicken Vegetable, Shrimp and Corn Chowder and Al’s Famous Lobster Bisque; classics such as Italian Wedding, Lentil, Minestrone; and refreshing cold soups for summer such as Cucumber Soup and Gazpacho. Obvious references to the show that catapulted the SoupMan to international fame include George’s Favorite Turkey Chili and Jerry’s Favorite Crab Bisque—not that there’s anything wrong with that. Next!
