We'd normally have to wait another six months to see some of Broadway’s hottest boys shed their clothes in Broadway Bares, but for the 20th anniversary of the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids fundraiser, they have lined up regular events to tantalize and excite all the way up to the big night on June 20th.
And the first event was Sunday night's Broadway Bares: Solo Strips at Splash, a throwback to the first Bares in 1992 that only featured six guys dancing on the bar but managed to raise over $8,000.
“To mark the anniversary we wanted to bring it back to its roots with one-on-one guys in front of an audience and keep it small as we build up to the big show. 19 shows and over six million dollars later we’re really looking forward to getting people excited for this year’s show,” said Gregus. “MAC make-up, who do our show every year, generously came out tonight to do up the boys for this event so we couldn’t be more grateful,” said Lowry. —Christopher Dilley
