Some might consider the sleepy neighborhood of Murray Hill to only be home to obscure 6 train stops and the namesake of our favorite bingo-wielding drag king, but with the increasingly popular spot Vig 27’s rotating roster of A-list acts it is slowly being awoken by the sounds of Sinatra and Lady Gaga parodies. Performing at her new Monday night show, Sherrylicious, drag dolly Sherry Vine enraptured a mixed bag of faithful followers and happened-upon-hers in the chic and dimly lit spot.

“I refuse to do the same show at two different locations” said the jolly green diva of the night. “If people want to see the ‘dirty’ show they’ll have to go to Barracuda, but here I wanted it to be much more Broadway and standards,” continued Vine. Although some of the dirty jokes and parodies did sneak in to her set, she stayed true and performed an array of jazz and musical standards (see video) to a delighted Monday night crowd. The drag diva stuck around post-show to allow fans to fawn over her, including a couple all the way from Oklahoma who only knew of Vine from her now famed “Bad Romance” parody on YouTube and came east just to catch her show!
