Le Bain of His Existence?
We’re all psyched for Tony Fornabaio and Brandon Voss’ new Thursday night party at the Meatpacking District’s Ajna, but one New York nightlife personality seems to be a little more anxious for the September 15 grand opening than most. It seems that, after some sort of incident at Le Bain last Thursday night, Corey Craig is ready for FornabaioVoss to crush Erich Conrad’s ZigZag. “The door filter is shiteous and the attitude is unjustified. No one treats me like that,” the DJ tweeted last week. “The fuckery that is Le Bain ends as Fornabaio Voss launches Ajna Thursdays... Be ready for a proper door.”

| More

(Ascension models Gavin Grymes, Josh Buscher and Cesar Abreu)

Probably one of the most buzzed-about events of 2011, the annual Ascension Weekend is quickly approaching (it's this weekend!), and we can already hear the pounding bass and beach-side gays beckoning. Although the weekend-long event is only five years old, this year's party plans to break the Fire Island record books.

After a hard-hitting performance by Kelly Rowland in 2009, producer Sean Patrick Ryan has upped the ante this year with a fully star-studded roster. Countess LuAnn, Kristine W., Crystal Waters and Mia Martina with DJs Ted Eiel, Lina and Corey Craig perform a lineup of the weekend's events including the Ascension Pool Party and the official Tea Dance. This year's weekend culminates with the Ascension beach party on Sunday, featuring hit-makers Dragonette singing their recent hit, "Hello", and Alexis Jordan with DJs Drew G and Tony Moran.

The best part? It's even endorsed by Britney! The sun-soaked fun-boy fest is kicking up sand this weekend—if your head hasn't exploded yet, just wait until you hear what we have in store!

We're giving you the chance to win a pair of Absolut All-Access Passes to this year's Ascension Weekend in the Fire Island Pines, August 19-21. These passes admit the holder into the Launch Party, Pool Party, Tea Dance, Beach Party (main event), Closing Tea Dance; open bar at all these events ($350 value).

(Epiphany at Crimson)

Hundreds of dancing party boys had gathered for the kickoff party for Rockit’s new home in Chelsea. The weekly dance blowout, organized by FV Events’ Tony Fornabaio and Brandon Voss, made the move to Crimson from District 36 after issues with management. But based on Friday’s housewarming the change won’t slow down the two-year-old year party.

Josh Wood and Jared Needle kicked-off hunting season right last night at the premier of their new party Fox at the Park. Filling the open-air upper deck of the multi-tiered venue to the brim with boys enjoying the good weather. In the crowd we spotted promoters Marco Ovanda, Tony Fornabio and Brandon Voss as well as Michael Musto and Mo Rocca. In the booth was the always-gentile DJ from down south, Corey Craig. “Me and Josh Wood are friends from way back. He came and saw me on Fire Island my first year and we’ve been working together ever since. This is my debut at the Park. I love the energy in this space right now, this is what I love and what I needed,”said our favorite over-achieving DJ. “This is my first big thing since I came back from Sydney Mardi Gras so this was my welcome home. While I was there Amanda LePore was the grand marshal of the parade and I did a party with Peppermint and Shequida so New York was very well represented in Australia,” he told us.

SCENE + HEARD: Colt Video Brings Furry Fun To Attitude-Free Apple Jack

(Jonny Mack, Corey Craig and JJ Mack @ La Pomme)

At last night’s Colt Video event at Apple Jack we caught up with host Jonny Mack while DJ Corey Craig spun for the furry and fashionable crowd. “Matt [Tratner] had worked on a TV show with a producer who also worked for Colt,” said Mack of the collaboration. “He was especially excited after having seen the party last week. [Apple Jack] opened beautifully... we watched online as the overall reaction to the photos and word-of-mouth just got out of control, which created a huge build-up to tonight. I had more than 700 people on my guest list alone” Mack mused.

SCENE + HEARD: Club 57 Heats Up Against Elemental Odds

| More

Saturday night’s Club 57 could have fallen prey to effects of the subzero temperatures and sedentary post-New Year state of mind, but upon arriving at Providence we found a line slowly growing down 57th street at the early hour of 12:30am. Inside, DJ Corey Craig had the main room pumping as the boys filtered in from the street to thaw out and get down. continue reading »
