HORSE SENSE
Lifestylist Jeff Little Horse made quite a splash at last week’s "Gaga vs. Britney" party at Campus Thursdays. The gender-bending party boy became incensed when some drunk dude yanked off the beaded pleather eyepatch glued to his face. It seemed like an actual gay bar brawl was brewing until friends managed to diffuse the situation. But Little Horse was determined to have the last laugh, pouring his vodka cranberry all over the beastly boy before storming out of Splash in righteous indignation.

OUT OF TOUCH
In case you didn't hear,  the West 52nd Street nightclub Touch recently lost their liquor license and shut down (at least for the time being). That put at least two gay parties in jeopardy: Kevin Wiltz and Michael Cohen (Cove, Summer Camp) have pulled the plug (again, for now) on Utopia, their regular Friday-night event at the club, while Sholay Events had to quickly scramble to find a new location for this Saturday's Desilicious party for South Asian queers and their friends. No worries on that front, though—The Bollywood bash has been relocated to the equally fabulous Pachita, upstairs at Pacha.

SCENE + HEARD: Rain Nor Snow Deters Desilicious's Die-Hard Crowd

(DJ Ashu Rai @ Pachita)

Friday night’s Desilicious successfully brought the monthly South Asian party to a new venue despite trepidation over the looming snowstorm. “We were a little nervous with the weather,” said promoter Atiif Toor of Sholay Productions, “but realized we have such a die-hard crowd that rain or shine, snow or sleet they’re coming out—and they did so we’re happy about that.” Bringing their hit party to Pachita, they themed the evening as the Bollywood Blue Bash. “We love Pachita so far,” said Toor. “It’s a great venue and there’s actually a lot of blue which ties into our theme. Our video guy has also put together some amazing visuals from Bollywood movies and we have on-hand our amazing DJ Ashu Rai.”

The crowded party raged into the night as more and more people were freight-elevatored to the upstairs venue. “It’s really fun, there are people running around in sequined saris so people really turned it out,” reflected Toor. —Christopher Dilley
