Joanne The Scammer may have a whole new reason to scam this fall.
Lady Gaga announced that her highly anticipated new album would be out on October 21.
The name?
Joanne.
Her middle name, Joanne is also the name of her father’s late sister who passed away from Lupus three months shy of her 20th birthday.
We love that she is dedicated the album to her fam, but also love the idea of Gaga dedicating her next album to Joanne The Scammer – who has blown up since taking over the red carpet at the MTV VMAs.
“[Joanne] is the woman of my past,” she said on Apple Radio’s Beats. Gaga also hinted that the album art will be out soon.
“There’s definitely a bittersweetness to [finishing the album]. This isn’t the end just the end of this moment. It’s also the beginning of this moment.”
When you google Joanne, what actually comes up is “Joanne Trattoria” – the Upper West Side restaurant Gaga’s father has owned since 2012.
