“I’mma shut this down. Kitty cat meow meow meow meow meow.”
Those purrfectly Grammy-worthy lyrics kick off “Burnitup!,” Janet Jackson’s latest Unbreakable single after “No Sleeep” and “Unbreakable.” Sure to be the album’s breakout hit at the gay bars, the track features a smokin’ rap from Missy Elliott. Unbreakable, Janet Jackson’s 11th studio album and her first since 2008’s Discipline, is out October 2.
“Working with Janet is unbelievable,” says Elliott in a statement. “Although we are great friends and have been for so long, I am still her biggest fan. Sometimes, I still have to pinch myself when I call her and she picks up the phone or texts me because she is still Janet Jackson!”
“It is always great to work with friends and Missy is a dear friend,” adds Jackson. “It was only natural for the two of us to record a song together. We had a great time and we hope you guys enjoy it.”
