SCRUMdiddlyumptious: The Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club faced the Rockland Rogues (intro photo) on Saturday, March 31, losing 22-20 in this exciting match. John Hunt scored the first try (0-5). Rockland scored two successful tries with no conversion (7-5 and 12-5). Daniel O’Connor scored a try with no conversion (12-10). Second half: Rockland scores two tries (17-10, 22-10). Run Me Down: Front Runners New York is the proud recipient of the 2011 New York Road Runners Team Spirit Award. My Skate Is Loose: All is well with the NYC Gay Hockey Association. The NY Lions’ three-game winning streak came to an end on March 23 when they faced TBD (yes, that’s the team’s name). TBD took the Lions 4-2. The Wizards finish their Fall 2011 Season with a 9-7 record, having lost to the Honey Badgers 10-4 on March 31. Honey Badger don’t care. Dribble on Me: The NYC Gay Basketball League’s Captain Vince Moten has Restore USA off to a 3-0 start, tied for first place with Captain Mike Ashburn’s 3-0 Splash Bar. Ray Kyle put up 23 points to lead Fenwick-Keats to its first win, 51-50 over Boxers NYC, as Captain Ron Sheppard gets the first win of his return tour. www.NYCGayBasketball.org.
