(Tammie Brown)
As New York gears up for another season of RuPaul’s Drag Race this week (and all the boisterous bar events that entails, see p.14) a standout contestant from the first season of the drag competition show is also coming to town, bringing her unique brand of wacky humor with her.
With her retro look and penchant for off-the-wall statements, Tammie Brown made an immediate impression on the first season of Drag Race, and later on Drag Race: All Stars. Starting February 22, she’s bringing her new show, Walking Children In Nature, to the Laurie Beechman, which will feature Brown’s original songs and music.
“I must say Tina Turner is a real motivator in my music. Jimmy Buffet, the Talking Heads, a lot of disco and even the old time entertainers from the golden age of Hollywood. I have a creative partner that I work with on some of my songs, or I will write some myself. It’s all very organic.”

Choose one in each grouping:

Winter Accessory: stole, hat, fur, muff
Let’s skip the fur. It’s out of date and you want to steer clear of PETA!

Favorite Shirley Temple movie: The Little Princess, Curly Top, Heidi, Bright Eyes
The Little Princess. Great story and fun!
