Will Sheridan

For gay rapper Will Sheridan, who will perform songs from his debut LP, G.I.A.N.T., at this month’s edition of Shane Shane’s Fancy party, a leopard print onesie helped him realize he was queer.

“I was a 6’3” sixth grader from Bear, Delaware that ironically wasn’t into basketball. Growing up, I vividly remember being into Jem and Holograms and X-Men more than G.I. Joe. However, I knew the moment I was gay, when I saw the Lil’ Kim Hard Core cover in 1996. All I thought to myself was, ‘Damn, that’s a bad bitch! Yass for that leopard onesie!’ Nothing near, ‘I wanna fuck her,’ like most of my straight mates. Even though I considered myself a power bottom by the age of 13, I just didn’t know back then that Lil’ Kim was serving, ‘Sex On A Platter.’ Her courage to own her femininity emancipated the gay man in me. Now that’s giant!”
